Counseling Specialist

Most psychologists, including clinical and counseling specialists, need a psychology degree. School psychologists need an educational specialist degree; and industrial-organizational psychologists need a master’s degree. Counselors — including mental health, education, rehabilitation, and substance abuse — and marriage & family therapists (MFT’s) generally need a master’s degree, additional certification and supervised clinical experience. Research all programs offered and pick the one that is right for you.
